We aim to offer the best solution to the problem being experienced by the customer. So if Premier Lifts can adapt some equipment to enable it to continue to be used, we will offer that advice.

It goes back to our basic philosophy of giving value for money and of employing a highly experienced team of engineers.

If we can refurbish elements of a lift system to avoid the cost of replacement, it makes sense if we can offer a long-term maintenance contract at the same time; where possible, the same engineer will maintain the equipment and his familiarity with it will enable its smooth running.

Refurbishment versus replacement

Premier Lifts' engineers inspected a lift installation at a private nursing home and a recommendation was made for £7,000 to be invested on a new control panel to save the motoring gear from failing. The idea was accepted, extending the life of the whole lift by 10 years!

In many situations, the only part requiring replacement is the door operator mechanism. This can be the most troublesome feature of a lift and often all other parts are functioning perfectly. Another lift company might well specify a replacement lift costing thousands more!
