The lift at William C Harvey School in London had been
installed in 1960 and had become troublesome because of its age. The specification
for a bespoke lift, manufactured to fit into a limited space, was put
out to competitive tender.
Senior lift engineer at Haringey Council, Stan Benton,
required the installation to be completed within the confines of the school
holidays.
"Premier Lifts worked to the programme and
the lift was in place for the start of the new term. The unit had to be
designed to meet current regulations and to fit into an area that is much
smaller than standard these days.
"The final product is quicker, larger, smoother
and more reliable lift that also complies with disabled access requirements.
It shows Premier Lift's flexibility as a company in being able to meet
all the criteria.

"They have a small, effective management team and
we found this a real advantage compared with working with a larger firm
where problems seem to drop into a big black hole. Premier Lift respond
quickly if you call them out and you usually see the same engineer which
is much more personable".
After the initial 12 month guaranteed maintenance, Premier
Lifts have been retained under a maintenance contract.
